Brazil's Top Music & Podcasts Android Apps in Q4 2020: A Sensor Tower Report

In the fourth quarter of 2020, Brazil's Android users showed significant engagement with music and podcasts applications. Sensor Tower's comprehensive data provides us with insights into how the top apps in this category performed during this period.

TuneIn Radio: Music & Sports, a popular choice for streaming, saw its downloads fluctuate, peaking at 21K downloads during the week of December 21st. Weekly active users showed a consistent upward trend, closing the quarter with over 103K active users, up from 74K at the start of the period.

Sua Música experienced a slight decrease in downloads over the quarter, starting at 109K and ending at 82K. Despite this, weekly active users remained high, with the app starting the quarter with 1.37M active users and ending with 1.26M.

The Podcast Player App - Castbox witnessed a downward trend in both downloads and active users. Downloads decreased from 2K to 1K, while active users dwindled from 207K in late September to 174K at the year's end.

MP3 Downloader - Music Player saw a significant rise in downloads through mid-November, hitting a high of 143K, before dropping to 110K by the end of December. Active users peaked at 583K in late November, a substantial increase from the 321K at the quarter's beginning.

Lastly, Music Player - MP3 Player had a remarkable surge in downloads in mid-October, reaching 140K, and then followed a declining pattern to finish at 53K. Active users showed a more stable growth, increasing from 432K to 785K over the quarter.
